FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Tour and explore this wonderful city with
Washington DC's biggest and best trolley tour. With over ten
years of experience we like to think that we've got it
right, but to ensure you make the most of your time with us,
you may find the following helpful:
Will we see all the
major sights?
Yes. Our tour routes are the most comprehensive
way to see the best that Washington DC has to offer.
Will we get a
commentary?
Yes. There is a full commentary in English. Live
English speaking guides appear on all our route service.
Will the children enjoy it?
You can relax and enjoy the tour while
your children (and everyone else's) are entertained and
informed by our highly acclaimed
commentary.
Do we get to see
the Museums?
Royal Trolleys will point out some of the museums to you, but
the best way to see the Smithsonian and the many other
museums is to see them on your own. Each museum could take
many hours to see if it really interests you.
Does Royal
Trolleys stop at every attraction on your itinerary? Do we
get out of the vehicle at every attraction?
Yes. Traffic
permitting, we make a stop at every attraction listed on our
stops list for each tour and allow ample time to walk around and take
pictures.
Do you offer private sightseeing
tours of Washington, D.C.?
Yes we do. We have an array of
private sightseeing tours of Washington DC, including Trolley,
Bus, and Van tours for you to choose from, please check out
our private tours page.
What are your prices?
Please go to the Book
a Tour link.
Where can I
park?
Parking in Washington can be
difficult. There are few private lots, and street parking is extremely
limited. It is also
sometimes possible to park at an outlying metro station and
take public transit into the city.
What are your hours?
Please select the tour
you are interested in and you can access
additional tour details.
Do you run on weekends?
We run seven days a
week throughout the year; we are closed on Christmas Day,
Thanksgiving, and the Fourth of July. In addition, we do not
run the day of Rolling Thunder (usually the Sunday before
Memorial Day), New Years Day or the day of the Marine Corps Marathon
(sometime in late October), as these events tie up large
portions of our tour routes for the duration of the day.
Are the tours narrated?
All of our tours are
fully narrated, and our guides are accredited by the city
government.
Are
tips for the tour guide included?
No.
Please thank your tour guide at the end of your tour. A $5 per
person tip
is encouraged.
Where can I purchase tickets?
If paying by credit
card, please visit the Book
a Tour link.
Can I pay with a credit card?
We accept all major
credit cards when you book online.
